Insects
Insects can sting, bite and spread disease.
This can cause humans severe discomfort.
Stinging
Wasps, hornets, bees and some ants possess venomous stings which can inflict severe pain.
In extreme cases a single wasp sting could induce a condition known as anaphylactic shock, which without rapid medical attention, can result in death to susceptible individuals.
Biting
Some insects, for nutritional purposes, are after our blood and included in these are bed bugs, fleas, flies and lice.
Disease
Cockroaches and flies in particular spread disease by contamination of our food. They live in unsanitary locations such as drains, animal faeces and sewers etc and then they frequent clean living areas such as hospitals, kitchens and food premises thus causing contamination.
Dysentery, gastroenteritis, salmonella, typhoid, leprosy, escherichia, coliboils, abscesses, bubonic plague and enteric fever are all diseases transmitted by cockroaches and flies.
